Do you qualify?
CDCP eligibility requirements
To be eligible, you must meet all four of the following criteria. If you're unsure whether you qualify, we're happy to help you figure it out.
No private dental insurance
You must not have access to private dental coverage — through your employer, your pension plan, a family member's plan, or a plan you purchased yourself. This applies even if you haven't opted in or don't use it.
Must not have private coverage
Household income under $90,000
Your adjusted family net income must be under $90,000 per year. Those under $70,000 pay no co-payment at all. Income is verified through your tax return.
Based on adjusted family net income
Previous year's taxes filed
You must have filed your most recent tax return. If you haven't filed, you won't be eligible — even if your income is low enough to qualify.
Tax return required
Canadian resident
You must be a Canadian resident. The plan is open to all ages — children under 18, working-age adults 18–64, and seniors 65 and over.
